The Swi-X gives me the versatility to run almost any aftermarket radio on the market using infra-red remotes, and allow me the freedom to choose which commands I want to assign to the handlebar mounted switches.The Swi-X is nothing more than a "learning" remote control, with a remote located infra-red transmitter. You wire it in, then teach it the commands from the hand held remote that comes with the aftermarket stereo.The hardest part is wiring the resistors into the stock wiring harness. If you are not comfortable with a soldering gun/pen and 12 volt electrics, pay someone else to do it.
